A Little History
In 1982, General Robert C. Mathis and his wife, Greta, retired from a 34 year career in the Air Force to bring a family dream to reality. They had long dreamed of creating a place where persons of all ages with disabilities could experience and share what an able-bodied person might take for granted. They came to Southwestern Montana and established the I Am Third Foundation (based on Matthew 22) to build Eagle Mount. In the fall of 1983, in Bozeman, MT, the first Eagle Mount program was formed.
Today, Montana cities Bozeman, Billings, Great Falls, and Helena all have independent Eagle Mount organizations. Although independent of each other, we all share a common purpose - to create unparalleled therapeutic recreational opportunities for people of all ages and disabilities. |

The mission of Eagle Mount Great Falls is to provide therapeutic and recreational activities for children and adults with physical, developmental, behavioral and/or mental challenges, striving to improve the quality of life for them and their families. |
